Raised in Another
When vocabulary reveals what you're really doing.
On Monday I had a moment where I realized I’m raising children in another place.
“Why doesn’t that man have a plaster?” asked Tiger about a man with an injured leg.
Plaster, Band-Aid. No big deal. But it stopped me in my tracks. A point of no return.
If we stick with our plan, Tiger will have lived more than half his life in Indonesia when we return to the States. And with his use of that word — plaster — it became clear to me that Bali will be woven into his system forever.
